Gas Turbine Inlets Market
Product Offerings for Turbine Inlets
The components that we have experience with and can supply are droplet eliminators for use in rain hoods, the evaporative media used to cool the air entering the turbine, and the drift eliminators used downstream of the air-cooling evaporative sections.
Keeping Turbine Inlets Particle-Free for Reliable Operations
Due to the extreme cost and precise alignment of turbine blades, a key design feature of turbine inlets is dedicated to ensuring that the air that eventually enters the turbine is free of particles that might damage the spinning turbine blades. Rain hoods are designed to prevent the inlet system from drawing in rainwater and also to act as an initial screen against bulk debris. The drift eliminators that are downstream of the evaporative section, which can utilize either evaporative media or just spray nozzles, are designed to remove water droplets from the airstream.
